Advanced electronic equipment, ready for 12-volt
operation – many yacht and boat owners take naviga-
tion devices or LCD monitors on board to run them
from the boat battery. Unfortunately, it often doesn’t
work that way. This is because sensitive electric applian-
ces require a constant and stable power supply. Voltage
fluctuations may lead to failure or even damage the
appliances. With a PerfectCharge IU charging converter
you are on the safe side with this respect. It stabilises
the voltage supply and compensates over- and under-
voltage in a range from 8 – 16 volts. Simply integrate the
unit into the wiring of the consumer, it’ll work a treat ...
… the compact PerfectCharge IU charging converters are also a blessing
for the leisure battery. Quite often, the electric generator does not supply
sufficient power to give them a complete charge when the engine is
running.
The reason is insufficient cabling (supply cables too long, cross section too
small). A charging converter raises the charging voltage to 14.2 volts which
ensures optimal charging during the cruise. The converter can be switched on
or off by an external control signal, e.g. the D+ from the generator. You can
also use a 12-volt switch.
